O Frame 16 Damascus barrel.

Default O Frame 16 Damascus barrel.

Finally rec'd this orphan barrel. 28" M/F...Double ivory..Perfect bores..Nice finish...SO..checked SN in the book...It shows VH 20/26".. Flats are stamped 3/2 ..barrel wt. then a 4..under that a D..and above that a C..Is it just a case of wrong info. in book..or..?...Thanks..Jerry..

Could be. Anything about the SN# look altered? The D 4 is Damascus 4 croil. I wouldn't be surprised if the 4 with the D looks a little wore, as I have seen and have had others mention the same.

All the numbers and letters look original. I'm sure SN is original..

SN is ..135203..If it's not in the SN book...could it be found with a letter ?

Yes Jerry, there ARE surviving factory records upon which a Research Letter can be based.
