The unique power is good or me as I use it for 28 gauge loads

Since I have some Alliant powders (Red and Green Dot) on hand, I inquired of that company about a recipe for ¾-ounces of #8 lead shot for clay target shooting.
Here is today’s response (prompt, too, as I sent my inquiry last night!): “Russell, Alliant has no tested load data for the 16 gauge for a ¾ ounce load. Without the tested load data we are unable to make a load recommendation. Thanks, ……” Is Alliant missing a market segment, or are our needs for low-recoil, economical loads for shooting multiple clay targets at the range so negligible that they do not even register as a segment? .

Definitely negligible, a subset of clay shooters who also dont seem to be a priority. There are some green dot loads allegedly tested by Fn16g from the 16 ga forum. |
