Default Snowmageddon

Awoke early yesterday to this. My pickup in the background had 14" of snow on it, one of our planes 16". There was no new snow on anything when I went to bed. Was plowing, scooping and sweeping snow most all day yesterday and it just kept coming down in flurries and continues to do so this morning.

And now it begins. I guess Old Man Winter has arrived.

Hard to prove it here. Has been in the 60's for the last several days and forecast to continue for several more. Too darn hot to chase grouse.

I'm 61 years old and have lived in south Georgia for all my life. If you took every inch of snow we've had since I was born and put it all together, it wouldn't equal one half of that.

Not just grouse but the deer movements went nocturnal too. Too darn hot for their winter coats and daytime movement even with rut kicking in. Rut and human pressure are the two biggest rut suppressors. Since we keep pressure to a minimum the heat definitely changed the movements.

As for that ugly snow, Rich, you can have it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

George, I was afraid that was going to happen. We don't have a quarterback, he left and went to Ohio. And our iron curtain defense is mostly on the injured list. Playing an all SEC schedule is murder. At this point I'm wondering how long before Kirby Smart gets the pink slip.

I haven't seen that white stuff for the last eight years since I moved to South Carolina and I DEFINITELY don't miss it.
