Default Somebody Just Bought a Nice One

A neat Parker "skeet configured" gun just hammered on Gunbroker.
It looks to have had some restorative work done on it but it has several original redeeming qualities. It would be interesting if Mr. Dogon would tell us what the chokes are when he receives the gun.

I tried to search "parker skeet" on the completed gunbroker sales and didn't find a gun with a bid. We would like to look at the gun.

Bill, it wasn't advertised as a skeet configured gun but (erroneously) simply as a 12 ga. DHE when in fact it was a VHE but it had a SST, SG, BTFE, twin ivories, 26" barrels, checkered butt, 1 1-2 frame with a 238xxx serial and is in the book with option code 14.

I was high bidder for a few days then Iron Man Guns outbid me and then in the last half hour it was a "pig pile".

For the money nice gun, beavertail doesn't look right maybe when the stock was refinished they got a little heavy sanding it.

Yes, the forend looks like it was reshaped a bit... or maybe its just the angle of the photo and some distortion.

Personally I like the shape of the forearm better than the traditional bulky beavertails. The main thing is this is an original beavertail gun with the correct forearm iron with the reinforced lug & screw and it matches the book that way. It may be reshaped, but I kind of like the looks of it.

As stated above: It's an optioned up gun with a beavertail, straight grip, single trigger, twin beads & a checkered butt. I will be interested to measure the chokes as well

Add it all together & I guess that's why I decided to be the top pig on the pile !!!
