Default Shooting an Early GH

I bought this gun from another PGCA member a few weeks ago. With the weather and traveling for work, I haven’t had a chance to take it shooting until today. I got the research letter and the gun was ordered on October 19, 1888 and shipped on July 2, 1889. I had been looking for an early hammerless gun and this gun fills that "hole" in my collection.

It’s a heaver 1 frame at 8 pounds. I really enjoyed shooting it today. I am definitely becoming comfortable shooting guns with more drop in the stock. This one is probably 3 1/8” or 3 1/4”. It shot very well, almost too well for our first time out. I was shooting some light 1oz reloads and some RST 1 oz. MaxiLites.

Pretty nice stick of wood Jay. That's a lot of drop on that one. I took the 34" V grade out today for some sporting clays, good weather day here, finally.
