That's right Bill - that's why I question the accuracy of the serial number given him by the seller. We know 1901 is not possible for a Parker Bros. SBT and that's why I question him here....

The seller finally sent me an updated email with the correct ser # which is 191432. Am I correct this was made in 1920? It does have the pigeon on the bottom plate.

Thanks ---that confirms what I believed. The owner is indicating that it is this ser #. The photos I have seen show the pigeon on the underside.

That serial number is around the year 1900 or 1901.

All you have to do to determine the date of manufacture is to tell us the serial number of the gun. No fuss, no muss.

Dean, the original poster has to tell us the serial number of the gun in question. He hasn't done that yet. We want to help him and give him as much information as we can.
