That one is very tempting. Like Charlie, I have a few too many irons in the fire, but hope somebody here gets it.

I bid on it, and then had to take a phone call and missed it. Should have bid higher.

I purchased the gun on GB but of course do not have it yet. It will be sent to my place in CO and my brother will bring it to me around the 1st of April. I will then take some photos and let the experts on the forum take a look at it and give opinions. I am still curious as to the dimples in odd places but hope they aren't too bad whatever they are. I am assuming (we all know how that goes) they are minor dents.

My plan with the 3 frame 12 gauge is to possibly at a later time find some 10 gauge barrels for it. Are they fairly common in good shooting condition?

Charlie thanks for letting me know via the forum about the auction on GB.

I tried the same thing with a damascus 10 gauge and a set of 12 gauge barrels then the opposite with a fluid steel 10 gauge and 12 gauge barrels. Both times a #3 frame gun. Neither worked, I mean not even close enough to be gunsmith fitted.

P.S. Stray fluid steel 10 gauge barrels are about like rocking horse shit or hen's teeth as far as rarity.

You could possibly find ten gauge Twist or Damascus barrels, but not fluid steel. This was a great buy.
