Default Great Northern SxS Classic

Well I just attended this shoot for the third time. Saw a lot of the same people I see at the Southern, Northeast "Hausmans", and Duluth SxS events.
But not one post on how nice an event this really was! The people running the event went out of their way to make sure you were having a good time and everything was ok. Or wanted to know how they could make it better.
They had a sporting clays course, super sporting clays course, pigeon ring, super pigeon ring, and a five stand. Non event targets were thrown for the unbelievable price of 80 targets for $37.50. How could they even break even at that price, let alone turn a profit?
So let's here from some of you guys and gals that attended. Regards, Bill

Bill there has been an ongoing thread on the Great Northern that was started by Mark Beasland. Lots of comments on this truly wonderful and well run shoot. This is by far my favorite event.

Like Bill and Rich said this has to be one of the best run shoots around. It's number one in my book. As it has been said, the people running this shoot go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy, "how are the targets, any trouble with the machines, what could we do to make it better", that's what they ask. Great people, great shoot.

Tell us something about the quality and quantity of vendors. I won't go to Wisconsin just to shoot, but I will go to look at guns.

Bill right now not a lot of gun vendors, Steve Cobb and Kirby were there along with half a dozen smaller dealers. Right now it's about the quality of the shoot, I think the vendors will follow.

The Southern is a gun show therefore we shoot at Drakes, Hausmanns is a good combination of both but this one is first and foremost a shooting venue. I bet I went through 4 cases of shells.
