It was the best F Grade Lefever I have ever seen. It was absolutely original and untouched, near mint. However, I didn't bid because I thought it was a lost cause. I was so wrong and it sold for just over two grand. I may be wrong about the price, but I don't think so. I bought the #45 VH 12 gauge that turned out to be a real clean VHE 28" gun with loads of faded color. Again, an untouched gun with open chokes that I hope turn out to be original. It sold cheap because of the incorrect description. I was there to look, not to buy, so I missed the home run Lefever.

Thanks Bill I was the successful bidder on the Lefever, the auction called me this morning to let me know. $2500 and no buyers fees. Craig Larter

Congratulations, Craig. Just had a call from a friend. I asked him what was the home run at the auction. He hesitated a bit and said, "Was it the Lefever?"
