Remington repair code?

I hope my image will load. If so, is this an example of a Remington repair code? B??3 in the top left? Is that BTT3?

What does the B mean on the barrel lug next to the frame size number? At least I think that is a B.

i believe the repair codes are two or three letters - there is a link to them on the left of the home page

My impression is that this a repair code for January 1948, but I don't know what Remington's T font looks like. Maybe it is something else. Any other information which can be gleaned from this image is appreciated.

I've got a 20-gauge January 1948 "The Sportsman" and the BTT on my guns barrel is just like the BTT on this Parker barrel flat.
