That wood is far above Model 90 quality!! Looks like an oval post Simmons rib on the barrels. Marlin never offered a rib on the Model 90. Whoever refinished the frame, they got the plum color that so often happens on these. Seems reproducing the original black gun-metal finish of the frame takes some talent.
