Stunning! I have always wanted one.....is Remington damascus as shootable as Parker if it of course al least meets the minumum thickness and is in good condition? I assume so but want to ask the experts!

Sure. The barrels came from the same source.
But I am not a gun expert. May I suggest you read all the Finding Out For Myself articles by Sherman Bell in the Double Gun Journal. Those are what convinced me about the strength of good damascus. Those articles describe testing with repeated heavy proof loads way in excess of SAAMI proof loads of 15,000psi. |

Thanks Bruce.....I have lot of faith in damascus and shoot Parker damascus alot. I do not have any experience with Remington though. Hope to remedy that sometime soon though. That was a great article by Mr. Bell.....I also enjoyed his one on chamber lengths as well. Thanks for the info Bruce and enjoy your day!
