Default PICTURES of my 1922 Parker 12ga.

Hi eveyone - I am the new guy that inherited a Parker 12ga./30"/Db. trig./ with SN 197249 ! What a thrill. I finally got some pictures with my new camera. Please give me an estimate on my "Baby". It was made in 1912, I believe. Hope they came out OK?

From the photos I would say $500 ish maybe right. Without the gun in hand it is hard to tell. If it is in great mechanical condition, meaning the barrels are on face, the bores are great, she locks solidly but the stock is a little rough you might get a little more.

It would cost more to have it properly restored than you'll ever get out of money wise but, hey, it is your money. Watch out, there are lots of "gunsmiths" that will refinish it cheap. They'll buff it up and drop it in the blue tank and make it look real purdy and not in the English Purdey way. It is how you ruin a nice worn shotgun quickly.

I say have someone that knows what to look it check it out to see if it is sound. If it is sound enjoy it with all its bumps, bruises, warts and all. Don't worry what its worth.

All the above advice is good & on point. Your Trojan Grade Parker is "entry level" or field grade. I would keep it "as-is" with all the hunting/handling marks. If you intend to shoot it or hunt with it have it checked over first by a reliable gunsmith.

Best Regards, George

Looks like a nice gun in reasonable condition for a gun thats been hunted a lot. The Trojans are tough guns and will perform well and enjoy the fine reputation of all Parker guns. David
