This will be interesting to watch. In a high grade subgage Parker the price is driven by condition and this one has no CC. It is still a great gun but I expect will have little collector interest. JMHO

David, I was wondering about the lack of colors, and one possibility is that it was French Grayed, as opposed to displaying the colors from hardening.

And the wood appears to have been replaced, judging by several factors including the very thick wrist or grip area.

I can't recall ever seeing a Parker originally finished in French Gray.

Neither can I, and there's that 'never say never' thing.
Generally speaking, the greater the degree of engraving, the less visible case colors are.

True, except in cases like Robin's AAHE and others with similar engraving.

Auction description says "possibly restocked, replacement buttplate". That eliminates a lot of discussion.

IMHO I doubt it brings the opening bid ,but then again look at what that AIS 20ga went for at Julia last year.

Original guns have their colors worn more quickly because of so many more 'edges'.
