Mike,
I seal my over shot cards with hot glue. I found it quick and an instant set up. Have used water glass and others, but they are expensive or take to long to set up etc. Have also carried many shells with over sized over shot cards without glue. What do you use? Harry |

I use the Duco Cement.
I cover the entire overshot card with a thin coat. I like it because I have never had to scrape glue remains from the brass after shooting them. I do have to let the glue set up overnight though. Harry, what is your favorite loading? My favorite 12ga. Pheasant / small game load is: 1 ¼ oz. #5 cold shoot in front of 3 drams of 2F. For clays and dove load: 1 1/8 oz. #7 ½ cold shoot in front of 2 ¾ drams of 2F. This is my favorite load for shooting. I have one box I call my Turkey load. 1 3/8 oz. #7 ½ Nickel-plated shoot in front of 3 ¼ drams of 2F. This load is flat out brutal to shoot from an under 7 lb. Gun. It is also the heaviest load that will fit in the 2 1/2” brass shell. |

I used to shoot brass - had a Mec650 set up to load em. Had to hand feed the primers, and with no bushing I got 92grs of BP or about 3.3 drams and 1 oz. of shot. I just used the white glue kids use to put on the overshot wad. Sold all the brass to a cowboy and now shoot BP in paper or plastic shells.
