Default Parker Bros. oil bottles

Hi fellas,

A few years back, there was a 1-1/2" square nickle plated oil bottle made available with 'Parker Bros.' stamped on the cap. I think they were offered through the PGCA as I recall, and I picked up one back when.....

Am now working on casing two 'D' grades in 16 ga. and am in need of two more. Was hoping someone here might know of a possible source, or if they ever made another 'run' of them? Any info re: these oil bottles or potential sellers of same would be very appreciated.

All Best,

rob harris

Galazan shows two different square bottles, but they are not engraved. Suppose you could take them to your local jeweler

Oil bottles are generally not engraved. The lids are stamped and plated. I wish I could remember where we have seen these things. Didn't anyone see anything like that at the Vintage Cup?

Default Parker oil bottles

'Thanks' to you two for responding.

The one that I do have was acquired in the early 1990's, and if I recall correctly, was ordered then through the Parker Pages shortly after I became a member of PGCA. The cap was roll-stamped 'Parker Bros.' before it was nickle-plated - the bottle being 1-1/2" square.

I'm guessing that this first run of bottles sold out quickly, and was just curious if another run was ever made through PGCA sources. I'm pleased to have the one I purchased, but was looking for a couple more for case projects in the works. Will likely resort to the CSMC bottles as they are the identical size, and make do without the Parker logo.

Thanks again,

rob

Dave Parker had 3 or 4 dozen of them made in England in the mid 80's. They were stamped with "Parker Bros" and he advertised them in the PP's, price about $35. They were slow to move. I bought a couple at his shop then but they sell for about $60 last price seen on EBay. Photo available if you need one. Good luck with your search.
