Default New Member, with a couple parkers..

Hi there, from Newfoundland, Canada.

I've just jumped into the world of parkers recently. I have a 1904 12 gauge model VH, size 2 frame, 30 inch vulcan steel barrels, choked full/full. Will get around to taking a few pictures when I get the chance. All matching numbers on metal parts, but forearm and buttstock wood is not original, and will be getting restocked along with some metal restoration.

I also came across another that is currently being shipped to me. It's also a 12 gauge, PH, size 2 frame, 1910, 30 inch twist barrels, I believe it has 2 1/2" chambers...forearm wood is original as well as all metal parts, buttstock is not, but the gun is being shipped with a replacement inletted blank which will eventually be used to restock..no pics as of yet, but will post a few of each when I get the PH sometime later this week.

I plan on getting the letters for these parkers as well very shortly..

Chris Dawe, also a member, and fellow Newfoundlander, will be doing the wood and metal work on my parkers. He's currently completing a new buttstock and forearm for a Beretta S57E 12 gauge over/under I own. VERY high-end piece of walnut, just waiting for him to complete the checkering and apply the finish. Beautiful wood and amazing work!!

It is great that you are making the effort to restore the wood on these guns!! There have been many guns abandoned because they needed some work to bring them back. As to the chamber sizes of the G grade, I would measure their length. While they may not be 2 3/4", they may be 2 5/8", a length in which many of us shoot 2 3/4" shells. There has been much discussion on this subject at this forum. We shoot low pressure target loads in our damascus barrels with great success and effect. David

Just wondering if someone could give me a little bit more info about the two parkers than what I already have. The VH serial number is 123744 and the PH is 153119....

Thanks..

Bill, 123744 is in the Serialization Book as a V grade 12gauge with 30" barrels and a capped pistol grip stock. No extras.

153119 is not in the book...sorry
