If it has 4" jaws it would be a No. 974, identified by that number on the left side of the body of my 974. When purchased I decided to have mine refinished by having it sandblasted and then I painted it myself. Cost, all in, was <$250. What is that swastika/4-leaf clover looking thing on the top of the slide in Jerry's pic?

Greg, It has four different size holes and has a pin in the middle that goes into the flat surface of the vise. I took for granted that it is an original part of the vise. |
