But I couldn't resist..Found this on a small obscure web auction. No one there knew any particulars..just an estate piece..Locks marked..R. Barclays..Full Machine Made...28"M/F..Bores are mint...12G...Belgian proofs........"Gamekeepers Gun"

I would have bought it just so I could look at the barrels. Where has it been for the last 150 years?

The auctioneer didn't have a clue about anything. This was one of a few things a relative of the deceased owner's estate had him sell.. I have a fishtail Parker 12 that has similar laminated barrels..and bores about as good...

Jerry, thanks for your photos. I really like those high condition, rather low end , guns that give us a view into history and suggest how the gun might have looked when leaving the store with the first owner. Over the years I have accumulated a half dozen guns like that. Inexpensive, probably, but in high original condition.

I don't recall seeing "Choke Bore" stamped like that on the top of a barrel tube. Was that common on Belgian guns?

Choke Bored was common on Crescent and Folsom guns.
