Default Grandson got it done!

Today was our spring gobbler opener in PA. I took our 9 year old grandson Rex out last night to put birds to bed and saw three gobblers in the food plot. We went out this morning and sat in a blind where we saw them feeding in the clover. 6:00 this AM two of them came in about 220 yards away. I started calling and they both came in straight towards us. At 30 yards they stopped and stood looking at the decoys. Rex dropped his gobbler with a 3” TSS .410! There was much rejoicing, and the people feasted on the lambs and the sloths and the carps and the fruit bats and the breakfast cereals…..

Damn, Rex is 9 already? Good Pop-Pop you are. Give him a high five for me. I'm still trying to get Anthony his first. He was surrounded by hens and jakes but none would commit. I want his first to be a decent gobbler.

Get Rex a beer (the root version of course) to celebrate, and some cranberry juice for his guide (guide in more things than turkey hunting I'll wager).

The future looks brighter when I see things like this.
