Default Old UnderLifter prior to 1874

Hi all, I'm Jim. I have this old Parker that's sadly been cut down to a coach gun, that I've been working on for time now, attempting to restore it. The serial number (0284) tells me it's made prior to them keeping official records in 1874. I've Taken a few pic's and am hoping there's a Parker Jedi out there that can maybe ID this ole beauty maybe via the stamps or Font style. I know I can ID some of my Lugers and Walthers via fonts and placement of the letters, hopefully, that works here too.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Back action pin-lifter looks like it was in decent condition… before the barrels were cut.

Would you know when the Parker Brothers first started making these ole Lifters, jus trying to get a handle on when it might have been make, I'm guessing 1872 or 73 maybe. Also, I'm looking for some springs for the firing pins, would you know where I can pick some up? or maybe know a person that makes them?

I ordered some springs from Grainger. I measured the old ones that were in a lifter that were worn out and found just the size I needed on there online catalog.

There is nothing special about the springs. Any light spring of the appropriate size or close to it will work.

That 'JL' is familiar and has been found on a number of Belgian doubles.

The subject gun; possibly Laminated Steel but possibly there is a section of barrel where the contrast is more apparent?

Crowned 'JL' with crolle - likely pre-WWI Belgian double

Belgian unknown maker or DOM but 'JL' with ACO for Acier Cockerill so fluid steel

'JL' may be H.Jonlet & M. Lovet, but I can't find anything about them.
At least some Lifters have Birmingham proof marks on the tubes but we know "rough forged tubes" were also sourced from Belgium.

The writing on the rib is DeCarbonized Steel. I've been work'n on the barrels for sonetime now. Whomever had this beautiful machine before I got it, didn't show it any love. But it's got a good home now. Thanks for all the info guys, got enough to keep me busy for awhile now. You folks are awesome

Decarbonized Steel barrels were put on some of the very earliest Parkers.
