Question Syracuse Arms Double Barrell Damascus Question

I own a Syracuse Arms double barrell 12 gauge Damascus shotgun. It is dated Sept 26, 1903 with a serial # of 338. It was my grandfather's shotgun. I am interested in selling it, but so far I have not found anyone around here that is seriously interested. Any suggestions on how/where I might be able to sell it?

If you are a member of the Parker Collectors Association you can post pictures et al. in the for sale section. Good luck.

As you have found there is limited market interest in the Syracuse Arms Co. doubles.
There is only 1 now listed on Guns International
https://www.gunsinternational.com/gu...1314_p1_o6.cfm

The first step would be to ID the grade.
There is a long post by Tom Archer here, but unfortunately all the images are gone
https://www.doublegunshop.com/forums...59&type=thread

Tom had a bunch of articles in the Double Gun Journal starting with Part 1 in Spring 2003 and every issue 2003, 2004 & 2005
Jack Maedel's articles started Spring 2005 to Part VIII Spring 2007
Most of those back issues are available for individual purchase if you'd like to research your grandfather's gun.

I just looked at a Syracuse Arms double tonight, see the post in the discussion of other fine doubles.

Russ Rupell had a large collection of high grade Syracuse doubles. All had stunning wood, engraving and bbls. This was pre cell phones and internet so he would mail pictures. Guess his sons still have them.
