Default New Guy in Maryland

Hello I am looking for information on my grandfather's parker shot gun.
I inherited it when I was 13. I am now 68. I love this gun seems to be 20gauge
hammerless with low serial number from 1899. I currently live in southern Md.

Welcome John. Unfortunately I'm also from Maryland. If you could post some pictures and give us a little more info on your gun it would help us help you. I'm from the Parkville area, where are you located?

The serial number would help immensely in identifying it. We could tell you exactly how it left the factory.

Default Pic's of gun

Hope the pictures are attached. I was given this gun when I was 13. I had gun oil for my BB gun so I"d rub the parker with it.Removed rust and kept bores nice and shiny. My grandfather fed the family with this gun.

The book tells me it left the factory as a 28" VH (extractor, not ejector) Pistol gripped 16ga. Exactly what my father's first Parker was, 94 years ago.

I'm from Maryland also, Damascus on the Western Shore, and am interested in what part of Maryland you are from. Now that you know your gun is not a 20, you can start searching for some 16 gauge ammunition.
