Jim Hall's Big Bird
Last fall Jim Hall shot a large wild Kansas rooster when he went with us to Dodge. Charlie Herzog arranged for it to be mounted by a game warden/taxidermist buddy and here it is. 36 bars on the tail, a nice long tailed bird. It will soon be on the way to Jim's man cave.
I was in Dodge last week and saw that plenty of pheasants had survived the winter. Unless we get bad storms that kill chicks and destroy nests, it should be another good year.
A couple years ago, we happened upon a nice big golden eagle on the ground eating a pheasant. That would have made a good mount too, but that was just another lost opportunity.

Hi Bruce!
That is a stunning bird and a wonderful mount...!!!
As an aside - what Parker did Jimmy bring down that rooster with?
Very, very nice Bruce!
Thanks for sharing!
