Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

1877 Grade 2 Lifter on Gun Broker
A Parker Bros. Lifter caught my eye for $700, opening bid with no reserve.
GB auction #950940564. The shop is an hour and half from me. Aside from it being seriously "off face" the checkering and ball grip seemed interesting along with it being a 4th year production. The very high nose of the comb is reminiscent of very early guns. Thought it best to call first and get a preliminary inspection. The guns serial number listed on the auction site is 10820 (1877), book says Grade 2, 10 gauge with 30" barrels. The GB listing is for a 12 gauge, 32" and twist barrels evident in the photos. Talked with the counter help and the barrels are serial number 20088 (1880). The gun is a mismatch, the 32" 12 gauge barrels are originally from a PT grade.
I advised them it would save a future headache if they updated the description and correctly advertised the gun as a mismatch. It's a parts gun at this point and it may be worth it for someone, though I have no interest.
