At one time, I could access the sold prices for the guns. I can't seem to do that now. How do I do it. By the way, Jerry, that gun looks like a good one and apparently sold for $650. How was your bid presented? Maybe you can inflict the fear of God into them and get the gun.

I've talked to the guy I use for legal work, ( also goes out west fly fishing with me, former prosecutor here and long time family friend ) and his position was that because I bid, and the bid is a contract, the gun needs to be returned to me. Not paying for the gun evidently does not let them out of this as they sent me the invoice then backed out of the deal, but the Proxibid agreement is a binding contract. The gun should technically be turned in to the ATF as a stolen gun. I don't normally get this way with stuff but I caught the guy in 3 lies in 5 minutes. So...I'm going to pursue it. I did print off the page as well as the invoice. Thanks for the advice. Jerry

Having been a Principal Auctioneer in Kentucky we abided by a set of rules and regulations. Many of these laws if violated would be cause to have your license revoked and fines levied. I find their described conduct a breech of public confidence. I would go for their license as well as your Parker.

The auction house was contacted by Proxibid Resolution team today and they asked the auctioneer to do the right thing and return the gun and allow it to be purchased by me. They have until Monday to do this. After that, a lawsuit will be filed in Maryland and the folks who do the licensing will be notified. I know it's just a gun, but it's the trust in the bidding process that's violated here. It makes a person VERY suspicious of bidding. I did point out to Proxibid that this is their name at stake also, as many folks do not know that Proxibid actually had nothing to do with what happened, but... they are hosting the auction. It's no longer about the gun. Jerry
