Default Opinion on Parker

Does anybody know anything about the Parker DHE 20 ga. listed on Guns International(#101504370) by Fieldsport LTD. Seems like that gun has been listed before but I'm not sure. Looks like a legit gun but thought I better get some opinions on the case(original?) and overall thoughts on the gun and price. Also not real crazy about the 13.5 LOP and still am chasing a 28ga instead of a 20ga. but good Parkers(if its legit) don't come around often. Thoughts?

Here’s the link: https://www.gunsinternational.com/gu...n_id=101504370

That’s a beautiful gun and from the photos I would say all original. But don’t spend 20 G’s on my opinion. The gun has an aged look that ALMOST can’t be reproduced. It’s definitely a white glove gun. As for the LOP I wonder why you would be concerned? Are you thinking this is going to be a shooter? 20 thousand is a lot to spend for a shooter.

Nice gun from the photos but the LOP is a negative and the price at least to me seems very high.

That one has been listed quite some time. They actually had 2 almost identical, priced the same, and one sold quickly. They also had the nice CHE 12 that was in the same condition for $18,000 asking price and it sold as well. And they had a couple of other nice ones that were all listed at the same time. Someone let go of a nice collection I would think.

Gotta disagree with you there.

I’m careful with mine but accidents can happen...

That said, shoot the gun(s) that makes you feel good - i do.

I was thinking the same thing on both points that you made. I have dealt with shorter than standard LOP's in the past and they can be a pain to sell. 13.5 LOP is borderline in my opinion and most people prefer something closer to 14" or greater.

The leather pad sold by Galco, or Orvis, which is a Galco, will add 1/2" to the LOP.

Is that a crack in the wood on the right near the tang screw?
