Pheasants in NY
Had my first chance out at the local pheasant club with a friend this weekend along with is son and their Brittany. Beautiful morning, great dog work and the son at 14 years old, handled his O/U .410 expertly and with reflexes that only the young possess. The first rooster flushed 12 feet away from him, got 8 feet in the air, and returned to earth headless, all before I even thought about shooting. It was a fun hunt.
