Last Day Magic

From time to time i have come across hunting stories where the author writes about what I like to call, "The last day magic". Things like, it's the last day of the hunt and the giant elk steps out into the meadow. Or, "We hadn't seen a duck all week but, on the last day they blocked out the sun". I have to admit reading about these adventures with some skepticism and wondering if this was some kind of literary ploy to generate suspense. The Parker Pages are going out to our members soon and I have another story in the Parker Chronicles where this Last Day Magic actually occurred for me.
