Default Announcement: Change of supplier for offset firing pins.

I will put this out now as an FYI regarding offset firing pins for lifter hammer guns.

As many of you know, I have been having a lot of parts and screws manufactured in quantity over the past year or so. These are parts that I deem important from a service or correctness standpoint. And I have found value in making the investment in having them made in stocking quantities for service or sale.

In doing this, I have conciously NOT duplicated any efforts of others or step on any toes and make parts that any others are already making (namely; Dave Purnell's firing pins and Tom Carter's hammer screws).

Well, at Ernies this past summer, In speaking with Dave Purnell, HE asked me if I would take over supplying the offset firing pins to the public. So I agreed.

I currently have samples approved with my supplier and I will very soon have them available in quantity for sale to whoever may need them. And, I will likely be able to offer them at a little bit of a lower price.

Stay tuned for more info and pricing...

I now have the Parker Lifter offset firing pins available. Plenty on hand.

The new price will be $30.00 each for these plus shipping.

These are made from 4140 that is then treated.

Brian, They are treated to what? Are you sure they aren't made from 4140 HT? They would have a Rockwell of about 38-40 which should be tough enough for firing pins.
