First 10 Gauge Lifter
Hello Everyone,
I received the gun I mentioned in the “Actual vs. Book – Barrel Length” thread. The gun is serial#10391 and was listed in the book as having 29” barrels. The actual barrels measure 29 11/16”. The gun is the short…short 10 with 2 5/8” chambers and is choked CYL/IC. The gun was listed for sale as a 12 gauge with full chokes!
The gun is nothing special, but I like it. It is a 0 grade #2 frame with Stub Twist Barrels. There is no checkering on the stock. Length of pull is 14 1/8 which is nice. The forend has seen better days and is missing the metal tip. I’ll post something in the wanted section for that.
I was looking for a shooter to mess around with black powder and that’s exactly what I got to do yesterday. I shot 40 Black Powder rounds through it and didn't do too great, but managed to hit a few targets while having a lot of fun. I’ll get some brass shells soon, I had reloaded some RST empties I had with a light load of 2 ¾ dr. and 1 1/8oz of shot.
Anyway I thought I share a few pictures,
Jay
