Frank's goose and his goose getting Lefever F grade 10ga. It was really a stellar shot. 5 were coming in but they pulled up short, this one was 40 to 45 yards out and crossing, he flattened it with a 1 3/8 ounce of Nice Shot #2, 1 shot.

Afterwards Pete and I went to see if we would have any luck busting some crows after the goose hunt this morning.
Pete said the numbers seen are low at this time of year compared to previous years but we managed to down seven crows in a couple of hours. The good news out in the distance we did a large murder of crows heading South that could (maybe, hopefully) mean the crow migration is starting. We were unable to call them in however due to distance and high winds. Here's Pete setting up the dekes. In the blind is Pete's VH 12 straight grip and my Lefever 10. Pete used 1 1/8 oz of #5's and I used 1 1/4 oz of #6. ![]() |

Sounds like a nice E grade. Perhaps someone here may know how to help you. If not check the Lefever Collectors forum. http://lefeverforum.informe.com/index.php
If you don't feel comfortable working on it, you can contact Buck Hamlin who is the Lefever Master gunsmith. 636-479-4304 |
