If it is 2 9/16" or 2 5/8" or 2 3/4" it will take standard 2 3/4 shells.
Lighter loads however, will make your shoulder happier. .

Serialization book lists your gun as a Trojan, not a VHE.

Don, if someone sold you a Trojan and misrepresented it as a VHE you may have paid too much.
The serialization book has been wrong before... To remove your forend, do you pry it off or do you release the latch? .

Yes, the serialization book in many instances has been wrong. The serial # you gave is amid a run of 10 Trojans listed in the serialization book. If you could post a couple pics of your gun, that might solve it.

Hello Don,
I suggest you go to the PGCA Home Page by clicking the tab so labeled in the top left row above. You might want to open this in its own window. Once there there is a column on the left side. Look for "Collector Information" and below that "Parker Grades". Click on Parker Grades and scroll down to "Parker Grade 0" and then click on "View Grade 0 hammerless pictures". Next compare the frame of your gun to the gun pictured. Is the side profile the same? Next look at the forend photos and is your forend release the same? You may want to hit the back button from photos and scroll down to "Parker Trojan" and click on the "View Trojan Pictures". Now is the profile of the receiver more like the Trojan Profile or is it like the 0 grade profile? Notice the Trojan forends don't have a forend release because they snap on. Check the watertable on the left side of the frame where the serial number is stamped. What is stamped above and/or below? If a 0 grade it could be stamped V or VH. It might be stamped OV in a diamond for a Trojan grade. "VHE" I don't know your level of familiarity with shotguns but there are extractors and ejectors. A VHE means it has ejectors. Go to the home page and click on the "Parker FAQ" tab at the bottom. Look at question 21 for an explanation. Many a gun shop has advertised an extractor gun as an ejector gun. Next look at Q 24 if you click on it you will see a photo of a watertable with a V stamp for the grade. Sometimes it is stamped VH or both V and VH. Read over all these questions and look at the material available and bring any remaining questions back to the forum. Your gun was made in 1926 and after 89 years many a gun has had its chambers altered for good or bad. Chamber sizes could be special ordered on most guns but Trojans. Hope this helps. Best Wishes Erick |

Thanks for the interest the serial number is correct and yes it has the latch system on the forend and the engraving around the frame . Also the fellow I bought it from has many Parkers B grades and so on very knowledgable it is engraved around the forend latch . The gun has been beautifully restored it came out of a estate and the owner spent 3 k Canadian on the gun unlikely he would do that on a trojen I will try and do the pic thing
