A Visit With Kirk Merrington
Stopped by Kirk's shop today to drop off some work, including minor cosmetic surgery on my Parker VH. We discussed double guns (especially nice English ones) and I looked at Kirk's personal sidelock ejector that I'd love to own. Also interesting was a customer's Purdey percussion that Kirk is bringing back to life.
Kirk is looking good and his leukemia is in total remission. A great afternoon with a superb craftsman who is also a gentleman of the first order. I ended the day with some excellent BBQ at Buzzy's on the way home. What could be better than that?

Kirk is not only a gentleman of the first order, but an incomparable craftsman… and a friend.
Skills such as his are rare in today's world. I hope Kirk can help us to maintain fine double guns for a long time to come!
