I've tried to shoot at Varney's a few times but they're never open on weekends. I called them last year and was told they only did shoots by appointment.... very frustrating

... And now they are having a major SXS shoot?? Where were the advertisements?? Who else knew about this??

I don't think it was well advertised Dean. I found out about it last Sunday when a guy from Maine handed me a flyer while I was skeet shooting at Major Waldron's. Looking at past year results for this shoot they have had only 30 or fewer shooters participating and this is the 6th annual?

I used to shoot ATA trap at Richmond F&G which is near Varney's so I am familiar with the trip and area. I thought it would be fun and yes I put a bottle of Ben's bug juice in my shooting bag.
