Default grade 2 hammer gun

There was a grade 2 hammer gun at the gunshow in Novi Mich yesterday. Tight and shootable as far as I could tell. One good but repairable bbl ding. Wood worn but could be refinished fine and is a pc of burl that would do any grade 6 proud when cleaned up. It was incredible and looked original. I've never seen wood like that on any Parker that I've ever handled. The seller chased me down to offer it to me for $600 but I'm not in a position to be able to transport it home.

I bet there are several people on here who would send the guy a check today. $40 to be able to post in the for sale section would be a good investment for him

Grade 2 Parkers of certain periods sometimes sport some exceptionally nice wood with great figure. It is most usually American Black Walnut, the imported woods generally being used on Grade 3 and higher.

One of the PGCA lifters from Austin's collection has such wood.

How long are you in MI? Got time to shoot some clays?

I do John and was thinking of calling you. Today works for sure or maybe Thursday or Friday. Can I call you right now?

Just back from a workout. Call at your convenience. Bald Mountain and Island Lake are closed on Tuesday. How about tomorrow?

Rich, you snuck into MI and didn't let anyone know. I was hoping we could get together for a pheasant hunt with Anderson. You have to give us a heads up... next time. Eric

That'll work. Pick a time. I may get another few suspects also, so you're not subjected to me one-on-one.

Oops! Just saw Eric's note, Eric - can you make Bald Mtn tomorrow?
