Parker 16 ga

My son just received a Parker 16 ga shootgun from his Grandfather. Someone tried to touch it up, but did a bad job. Should we refurbish or not ? If yes, where ???

We need pictures - otherwise we cannot advise you. If it was poorly torched (I realize any torch job is a poor way of producing "case color" but there are really poor torch jobs where damage is done to the steel) it may be too late and any money spent may be a waste.

Tom,Did they try to "touch up" the wood or metal or both? As Dean says we need pictures.
