Default Parker VH

Hey gentlemen I am looking at a Parker VH straight grip on gunbroker. I asked a couple of you guys input and got some good response. I called the owner and the selling war has begun. Just one thing I don't know about, the stock is LOP 13 7/8" to a dogs head buttplate is this factory on parkers? If not I may back off will this hurt the guns value. Thanks again Donnie Reels

Donnie,Most Parkers that I have examined have 14" to 14 1/2' LOP from the factory. I believe this is also stated in Parker catalogs of the era.Of course Parker would supply any LOP on graded guns that the customer requested.

For me I wouldnt let a 13 7/8" gun scare me away...

Donnie,

Couple of things to consider: does the owner actually know how (where) to measure LOP? Your talking 1/4" - could just be a error measuring.

Also, most V-grades have a spur on the top of the buttplate that goes into the top of the buttstock. If the stock has been messed with it should be pretty easy to tell.
