Default I'm sure this is a long shot but, looking for...

Looking to find what became of my grandfathers collection of Parker's. My grandpa passed away in 1979 in Portland Oregon his name was Robert Eiring he had an extensive collection of Parker Bros shotguns. He had many, his collection included 8 ga, 10 ga, 12 ga, & 20ga. He had more than one of each. The day after my grandpa died a collector came and "purchased" all the guns, there were many, many more desirable firearms in his collection. None of the family has any idea what my grandma was paid nor where they went. I would love to own one of his guns. The only lead I have is the name "Suavies Island Gun Shop" and from that name google turns up nothing.

I know this is a long shot but I have to at least try. It's very likely that someone on here has these Parker's, probably long since split up as a collection.

Thank you,

Jim Sherman

Good luck. If you could find the serial numbers, it would help a lot. I know that is a long shot as well.

Unfortunately I don't have any s/n list. I do know that one of the shot guns had the side of one barrel blown out.

Sauvie Island, in the U.S. state of Oregon, originally Wapato Island or Wappatoo Island, is the largest island along the Columbia River, at 26,000 acres, and one of the largest river islands in the United States. Wikipedia

Maybe a phone call to the Police Dept?

Was his estate probated? If so, there may be an inventory with serial numbers on record at the Multnomah County court house.

I do not believe so.

You may want to check the local gun stores in the area and see if there are any clues.
