Unusually cool, wet weather made the opening weekend a bust, but we finally managed to find some birds today. Plenty were intentionally missed to ensure good hunts in the weeks to come. Nothing quite like a very old (123 years) Parker and a brace of young birds to start off the season. And of course, my two yellow hunting partners are what makes it worth all the time and effort.
