Default Bird Billy ?

Has anyone ever used or seen a bird billy?
Maybe the Brits are simply too genteel to wring their crippled birds’ necks??

I just rap their heads on my gun. It’s an old Trojan and not a Purdy.

I’ve been on many the driven day in England and I’ve never seen one of those!

I’m reminded of the “spike” that every deck hand has now for bluefin in our neck of the woods.

Like a trout priest for birds?

According to our friends at Google it is in fact a fishing priest. Apparently Purdey branded some fishing items, or allowed someone to use their name.

When off-season retail therapy fix meets accoutrement creep?

This is what I have been using. I never thought to make one out of an antler but I like the idea. Originally I was going to buy a nice wood/brass Hardy priest but I was worried it might get damaged.
