Not sure of the serial number. it may be 953 or 11 953. I think it is pre.1874

Foreign built gun. This is not a Parker Bros. firearm.

If it’s safe to shoot low pressure shells it’s probably worth around $400

Those sort of guns are usually what people would call a “cracker barrel” gun or a “wall hanger”.

Steve: The value of any gun to me is in its enjoyment. I have a family gun that dollar wise is maybe 3 or 400 bucks. I decided to give it a complete disassembly and thorough cleaning. Fixed up some cracks in the stocks. Lubricated any friction points and reassembled. Test fired the laminate steel barrels using RST ammo and a 100 foot cord with large hay bales between me and the gun. That was for a just in case moment. That didn’t happen. So I took it out for a pheasant hunt. Missed my first and second shots. Third connected. I find hammer guns a bit of a challenge with pheasants but a whole lot of fun. Therein is my assessment of value to me for a wall hanger turned upland bird gun after safety was assured.
