I apologize in advance if this has been answered previously. I did a search and can't find the answer I am looking for.
I'm trying to put a Parker Repro in it's takedown case. When I remove the fore-end and barrel, the opening lever stays in the far right position. Is it supposed to be moved to the center position before putting it in the case, and if so, how is this accomplished?
Looking down from the top of the receiver you will see a notch, at the bottom of it you will see a small "button" that you can depress with something soft like a pencil eraser. Hold the lever to the right while depressing the button and it will disengage the lever. This question comes up often.
