You should post your serial number so you can get some more information here and order a PGCA research letter so you can document the unusual features of your gun. We have seen 3" chambered 16 gauges in the order books. The guns, we have not seen much of.

Might as well ask the second question. Think I know the answer.
Have a Parker Repo. 2 barrel set 20ga/16. That gun has killed a pile of Ruffed Grouse with the 16s. The 20s are virgin. The bad part is the stock got cracked in a fall. I'm sure it can be fixed, but are any replacements available? If you like pics here are a few:

Harry,Thanks for the pictures.Is that serial number 93253? Is that an L in front of the number? Or am I blind? The serial number looks to be overstamped so I am a little confussed.Also there appears to be a repair code stamped to the right of Jim Geary's inspection stamp.
Repro stocks are hard to come but but once in a while they show up on Ebay.But we here know many stock makers that could possible repair your stock to "as good as new condition" Love the grouse/dog pictures...a place very special to me...

Many folks here have had good success repairing cracked Repro stocks. Replacements are hard to come by. I'm sure you'll get numerous recommendations on this thread. Brad Bachelder has done some excellent work for me and his customer service and turn-around times are second to none. He's in Grand Rapids MI.

First thanks for the replies. Appreciate it. The serial no. is: 193253 and doesn't appear to be over stamped, although the last 5 and 3 are definitely deeper. As far as what is right of the JG it looks like-and I'm guessing-a diagonal line, followed by an inscribed small box, followed by the 3. Dave F: The white Springer is Abby. Going on 14 when the pics were taken and still will give you an honest 3hours hunt. Ears are going and the eyes cloudy, but is all heart. Not great, but a solid good. The all black English Cocker is Toby. Going on 4 and steadily getting better. This year we got her into enough birds to fire her up. Still unproven, but showing potential. The spotted English Cocker was Sam. Died way to young at 5 from kidney failure and was on her way to being really good. Never had a chance. Thanks for asking. |

Harry,193253 is in the serialization book as a 16 gauge VHE with 30" barrels and capped pistol grip stock.
Is that the 30" 16 gauge in the top picture? I have a GHE 16ga. 30" gun I am very fond of.
