I was in las Vegas a few weeks back and they had all of his guns on display for the auction. I was able to hold his Keith #5. He has been my favorite author since I was a young boy. Very exciting.

is the family selling his guns or a private collector?

I grew up reading his stories , pretty colorful guy, I had an old friend who was from Salmon Idaho and knew Elmer, always said he was a good guy but could always make a good story better when he wrote.

I was told the family. Most were on loan and display at Cabela's in Boise Idaho.

I grew up on his stories also. I had a signed copy of his book that was unfortunately eventually stolen.

The Family has consigned the collection to our auction. We have a nice selection of Parkers in the auction- and Elmer Keith's collection is incredible. I hope to see a few of our members in Maine at the auction on the 15th and 16th!

It would be neat to own such a great piece of gunning history but way out of my price league.

The flyers mailed out last week, Greg. The full catalogs will go later this week. Catalog 1 with the antiques likely tomorrow and catalog 2 with the sporting guns likely by Thursday or Friday of this week.

With the Parker Pages on the way it should be a great week for gun mail!

Thanks Josh...my gun-buying habits from Julia used to cause my wife to raise her eyebrow/ But then I started to receive the non-gun Julia catalogs which in turn caused my wife to start receiving large shipments from them as well. So now she doesn't ask me what I'm buying, I don't ask what she's buying!
