I would really like to make my one thousandth post one born of great wisdom
but heck who are we kidding - this is me here
I did just noticed the other day that this number was close- not that its really noteable in the grand scheme of things. I had hunted with a Parker for years but found the board and joined after passing on a grade 0 hammer gun I did not know enough about to pop for. It has been two and a half years of mostly knowing it was better to listen than to talk and learning a lot.
but I thought this would be a good time to say thanks to all who share their hard earned knowledge about Parkers, and their photos of some great Parkers that vast majority of us would never get to see otherwise.
I've met some of you personally and hope to meet more and call you friends.
Thanks to Dean and his predecessors for the great Parker Pages we PGCA members look forward to reading and to John for giving us this play pen and taking on the babysitting duties with more grace than we likely deserve. And also to the people like Dave who step up on projects like the headstone restoration and the many members who man (and woman) a PGCA table at Pheasants Forever and other events.
To those lurking about the board - go ahead join the forum and get in on the conversation -- or better yet join the PGCA- if for no other reason than to read about Charlie's hunting adventures in the members only area.
ok - enough sentimentality back to knowledge sharing and verbal sparing
