Default CSMC Parker replacement barrels

Has anyone got details on the replacement barrels being offered by Galazan? I understand that they are taking orders and going to build in one run? I can't really get much info and want to know if anyone has info on this..

Why not call them directly?

In my experience they are less than forthcoming when you call. I like CSMC because they have cool American-made products. I do not like them because the barrels and guns that I have purchased from them were not as promised and they would not stand behind them or make them right when I complained. You will not learn anything meaningful by calling them.

My early 28 gauge is on an 0 frame and I was toying with idea of selling it and getting a set of 28 gauge barrels for the 20 gauge 0 frame as well as a set of the 20 gauge mod and full barrels. I think a three barrel set take an old man aywhere he would want to go. I am still pretty handy with a #4 frame, but that could be waning.....

I did call and the answers were not forthcoming. I was told " absolutely no idea on a delivery date". They did say that not a single set had been produced yet. I did get the impression that same tubes might be used, only chambered and bored to specs of the gauge.

I just wanted to see if anyone has ordered a set yet, or if they had any different info.

Thats about par for the kind of customer service they provide. Don't expect info on a gun they have for sale either when you ask.

In the past few years a significant number of Parker owners have expressed a desire to own a set of .410 or 28 ga. barrels for their favorite 0-frame or 00-frame original guns or even for their Repros. Some of us even contacted Krieghoff expressing an interest. I'm sure the people at CSMC have read all of the opinions posted on the various internet forums on this topic and thought this would be a venture worth looking into and it could have been . . . but then the economy took a dive - nobody's fault here in the gun world but it has affected just about every aspect of our hobby/trade and has cut severely into the ability to purchase and the ability of a manufacturer to produce . . . so, here we are - anticipating a set of barrels for which there is scant information forthcoming. We are their only market for these barrels but with the economy, who can blame them for not producing barrels without a firm commitment from a significant number of customers...
We are at a stalemate. Come on Tony and Louie, give us something we can sink our teeth into, okay??

I ordered 3 sets of 410 barrels on day one -- June something---and paid the deposit. Delivery was supposed to be September. I'm thinking September 2010!!

I think CSMC is doing some really excellent things and I go out of my way to buy American products, including several of theirs. Sadly, Dean is right, the grim economy and the tight credit environment are making it tough to launch new products of any kind. However, I don't think poor customer service, over promising, super late deliveries, and not standing behind defective products is the answer.

I ordered a set of 20 gauge 30" 0 frame barrels in July as did my friend Russ. I have dealt with Tony for over 20 years. When they get here, they get here. Personally, I believe some folks have very unrealistic expectations and whining is unbecoming in any circumstances.
