A very nice Grade 5 SBT. Great wood and very nice condition with what looks like a new pad.

Nice looking gun. I have a SC SBT and it is great fun at trap. It cost a whole lot less than some of the modern guns and shoots a lot better (for me). I am convinced any SBT out there will be shooting trouble free a lot longer than the Perazzi's, Berettas, Brownings etc.
My only advice is if you buy it- use it. It does not deserve to be buried in a safe somewhere. My only other comment is most of the SBTs are really not 16 yard guns. They seem to work best at about 22-24 yds IMO. I have a friend here that shoots a Model 12 Trap. We can our guns old iron. We shoot together and generally beat the guys with the hex wrenches and other adjusting tools. Just learn the gun. A case of shells will accomplish that. |

Jeff,
Thanks, but not really interested in purchasing the gun. just thought it would get some interest on the forum. It's a beautiful gun, but Trap is not my game. |

I've only owned and shot four Parkers over fifty-some years of shotgunning, but this gun linked above will be my first SBT. Just wanted to give a 'thumbs-up' to this seller if you see him around again. The gun was totally un-monkeyed with and much nicer for condition than he described in the gunsamerica link above (still viewable there). Also a real pleasant man to do business with.
The case colors are actually a bit more vivid than the photos show due to the camera flash washing them out a bit, and truth is, it has been shot very little since 1929-1930. I feel very fortunate to caretake this gun for a little while, but have to get busy installing a couple of recoil reducers and dishing out the comb with a rasp before tomorrow's trap-shooting ![]() ![]() rob harris |

May just do that, George. I was originally PGCA member # 161 when joining back in 1995, enjoyed the PGCA pages and this board, but fell away with the acrimony that almost split the group over a decade ago.....no names mentioned.
Have been lurking ever since, enjoying the contributions that you fellas make. I'll give it some serious thought.....and 'Thank You'. rob harris |
