Default Richie Wingle has Passed.

Yup, Richie is gone. It was a long battle, but he is gone. June 23 I am told. A legend in gun collecting and gun buying and selling acting under the radar. What a guy.

Bill, Although I didn't know Mr. Wingle I remember seeing his adds in the Gunlist years ago. He had some pretty interesting guns listed over the years. Another one of the "old time" traders gone. Too many lately..so sad. God bless him.

I,m sure we would love to hear some of Rich's stories....as a tribute.

Sad to hear, Rich used to come out to California each winter and spend a few weeks at my house. We would hit the west coast shows, Vegas and cut walnut trees. Lost touch with him in the late 80s. We had a lot of laughs, Richie would sure come up with some unusual guns.

I repaired some L.C. Smith guns for him years ago, met him at the OGCA when it was at the Veterans building in Columbus Ohio, very nice guy, very fair. Jerry

Rich was great to do business with. I sold him several guns and one was the nicest VHE 20 with finest crotch wood, sst, factory checkerd butt,95% original finish, late Remington gun.I should have kept that one.He told me he had over 100 Parkers and that was 10 or 12 years ago.
