What I can't understand is how the George L. Osborn AAHE 12ga 34 inch gun was consigned at this auction by his great grandson if the gun was returned to Parker Bros for a credit within 4 months of it's delivery to Osborn in 1917. George didn't seem happy with the gun from the beginning. Does anyone know how it got back to him after being returned to the factory 3 times, the last being for a credit?
Perhaps the Double Gun Journal article touches on this. |

Tool Man, the reference you and the catalog give is incorrect. The reference leads to Herschel Chaddicks spread of A-1 Specials, not the Osborn AAHE. Can someone lead me to the article on the Osborn gun, #11 in the catalog? Thanks.
